The prefectorial board 2006 (our batch , form 5) had organized a prefect's camp to Taman Negara in the month of May...It was a 3 days 2 nights camp...All the prefects assembled in the school compound according to their groups...A short briefing was given by the camp leader before we moved in to the bus...We used this opportunity to take a photograph in the bus before the journey to our destination...
Above is the Pahang main entrance ...As the park encompasses 3 states in Malaysia , the other 2 main entrance are located at Kelantan and Terengganu...

This main entrance's view is being captured at the opposite shore where the chalets are located ...We have to travel boats to across the river ...
Finally , we reached the park...There are few restaurants being setup on the river , it is convenient for all of us...

JUNGLE HUNTER
A short briefing was given by the facilitators before we hunted into the jungle...

It was second day (night time) , we had a night-walk in the jungle...The main purpose of this activity was to find out tigers and wild boar because these 2 animals will appear to hunt for food at night...(information by the facilitators)
Eventually , we waited for almost 1++hours in the jungle hide but never have a chance to see the appearance of a tiger and wild boar~~!! Sigh...Arghh~~zzz
RAPIDS SHOOTING

Tembeling River

This is an activity that full of excitement which is called Rapids Shooting...It provides an exciting ride when the river is in full flood...i did enjoy this activity so much~~!! really excited ~~
All of us were screaming and shouting loudly for the unlimited excitement and we were well prepared to get wet or for a thorough soaking~~!!

Above is a picture of Chun Hoo and Houzhi before the rapids shooting started...

After the rapids shooting ended , we continued with a few water activities which included swimming , water polo and etc...

CANOPY WALKWAY

Above is a picture of the entrance to the longest canopy walkway of this enormous rainforest as well as the world , which is 45 metres high and 510 metres long...

We walked slowly to balance our bodies...The gap between 2 person should be 5-10 metres away to stabilize each other , so that the weights can be sustained by the walkway...
Above is a picture of Kean Loong ....

As the facilitators told us that if u have not completed canopy walk , u have not completed Taman Negara...Eventually , all the prefects have completed the canopy walk successfully in almost 2++hours...We were so excited and delighted after the completion of the mission...Cheers
JUNGLE TREKKING
Welcome to Taman Negara...this is the headquaters of the park that located in front of the main entrance , which is above the stair case of the jetty for boat-travelling...
This is Tahan Mountain Range and Gunung Tahan (2187m) is the highest elevation of it...

Above is a picture of a scorpion that we saw ...

Besides , Gunung Tahan ( the highest peak in Peninsular Malaysia ) can be seen from Teresek Hill ...We were admiring the scenery on the hill...

GUA TELINGA (EAR CAVE)
After lunch , the most challenging activity began ....Gua Telinga (Ear Cave) exploration~~!!We took a photograph in front of the cave before we entered...The cave was extremely dark and we have to use torch lights ...Furthermore , it was so slippery and smelley~~!!

The cave was extremely dark and we captured it by using the brightness of torch lights...The bats were flying here n there while we passed through ..Besides , we have to squeeze in the cave by bending down our bodies because the cave has a rock formation like a human ear and full of narrow paths...It really brought alot of difficulties to us but fortunately we were managed to overcome it~~ prefects rock~~!!
Above is a moment that being captured before the arrival of the bus to send us back to KL...Our camp finally over~~!!
